Duration: Permanent Hours: 40 HOURS PER WEEK, DAYS AND TIMES TO BE AGREED

Vacancy Description
This is an Apprenticeship. To gain skills and knowledge of horticulture such as planting of trees, shrubs and other plants, hedge cutting and pruning. To gain experience of maintaining parks and green spaces; grass mowing, edging, litter picking, emptying bins and pruning. To become conversant in the use of hand tools and appropriate power hand tools. To gain skills relating to the maintenance of sports pitches. To learn about common garden plants and shrubs; to gain skills in the planting and maintenance of floral bedding displays. To learn to drive and operate ride-on mowers and similar machinery. We will particularly welcome your application if you live in the Borough of Gravesham and you are 16-19 years old. Apprenticeships are funded for 16 - 24 year olds in England but are open to applicants of all ages.
